"Creating good design demands honesty and respect"

Peter J. Lassen, 2000.

Peter J. Lassen is the man behind Montana furniture - design classics renowned for their simplicity and the functionality of their design.

Peter J. Lassen has been strongly influenced by his work with the great architects Arne Jacobsen, Jørn Utzon, Piet Hein and Verner Panton. The evidence is seen in the clean lines and functionality of his design.

“It must be possible to revolutionize the interior design culture and provide everyone with the potential to put together a room with a personalised touch. This was mission I tasked myself with in creating Montana. Montana has become a system about freedom, not only at the moment the choice is made, but the freedom to alter the style, composition and function, whenever the urge strikes you"

Besides Montana system design that includes the Montana units, the business program Montana CO16, Monterey, Skyline and Position, Peter J. Lassen has worked with Joakim Lassen on the HS height adjustable tables and the MP table collections and with Andreas Hansen on the AP chair collection.

Today, Peter J. Lassen is a member of the board for Montana Møbler A/S.
